altja Tavern

Altja Tavern is located in Northern Estonia in Lahemaa National Park. It is approximately 90 km from Tallinn to the Altja fishing village.

The tavern, with its old thatched roof and authentic interior, is a good place for all passersby to have a meal while exploring this beautiful area.

Nearby, there are several well-maintained manors and marked hiking trails. Upon arriving in Altja, you can conveniently park your car or tour bus in our spacious parking lot. Before having a meal at the tavern, you might want to take a walk along the old village road to the net sheds on the peninsula. From there, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea. On the way back, after swinging on the village swing, it’s the perfect time to stop at the tavern. We offer simple and very tasty Estonian dishes. In good weather, you can sit on the terrace, have a picnic in our spacious yard, or organize outdoor events. During the summer, we recommend that larger groups book their places and meals in advance
